STEVE STROOPE: 360 Leadership
Senior Pastor, Lakepointe Church

While leadership is typically seen as a top down endeavor, Steve takes a 360º perspective that begins with introspection. How well are you leading and developing yourself? A healthy staff begins with a fit, faithful and fruitful leader.

“All leadership begins with self-leadership. This is where you have the most control and will have the greatest impact.”

Called to pastor Lake Pointe shortly after its founding in 1979, Steve Stroope leads a congregation that has grown from 53 at its inception to more than 13,000 regular attendees each week at 10 campuses. In addition to preaching, Steve provides coaching to partnership churches and pioneer missionaries in Africa, Australia, New Zealand, China, Cuba, Russia, Mexico, France, South Africa, and North America.

Author/Speaker – Cracking Your Church’s Culture Code

Culture trumps strategy and can make or break an organization’s future. What are the artifacts, beliefs, values, and basic underlying assumptions of your staff? Sam will address the primary factors that create a thriving staff culture.

“Culture – not vision or strategy – is the most powerful factor in any organization. It determines the receptivity of staff and volunteers to new ideas and creates a sense of pride or deep discouragement about working or being involved there.”

Sam was born and raised in a pastor’s home in India, coming to the United States to attend Bible college in 1973. Since his first job as a janitor at the college, he has gone on to serve as a pastor, college president, and chancellor, is currently President Emeritus of Beulah Heights University. Sam has authored 8 books and serves on the board of John Maxwell’s EQUIP.

HUB: Multisite Director, Leadership Network

Your next hire, or letting someone go, might be the most important decision you make this year. Kadi will share key insights on putting together the right team to fulfill your vision. The people who got you where you are won’t necessarily get you where you need to go.

“Pruning is a necessary part of healthy growth. Courageous conversations might provide the breakthrough your organization needs.”

While serving as Executive Director of Multisite Ministries at Christ Fellowship in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Kadi developed the Kaleo School of Leadership, a 14-month leadership development program for high-capacity volunteer leaders. She is currently Director of Leadership Network’s HUB:Multisite, helping churches multiply their impact and influence

Director of Research, Leadership Network

Warren will share recent findings from our largest ever survey of church salaries, staff and budgets. After talking to over 1,500 churches, his team painstakingly analyzed the data for trends, ratios, benchmarks and other insights designed to help church leaders.

“The main motivation behind you or me deciding to work for a church or non-profit, and then staying there year after year, is mission: we believe in what God is doing there, and want to be part of that calling.”

Warren is widely recognized as among the nation’s leading researchers of megachurches, multisite churches, large church compensation and high-visibility pastoral succession. He has a great heart for working with outreach-minded, innovative pastors and church leaders.
