Recently I did a webinar with my friend Warren Bird talking about five ways to promote collaboration on your team.
There were several main points we touched on, including 5 Axioms for a Collaborative Culture:
1. Influence is personal, not just positional.
2. Trust is the currency of collaborative teams.
3. Communication is the lifeblood of collaborative efforts.
4. Mutual accountability has to be both promoted and practiced.
5. Roadblocks to collaboration have to be addressed.
Part of our discussion covered the importance of collaborative approaches in building cross-domain initiatives to move the needle on big societal issues in our communities. For those church teams wanting to accelerate their capacity to impact their cities in significant ways we have designed a new Leadership Network experience called Leadership Network HUB:City Impact.
