This week I tackle the importance of a Campus Pastor.
Does each site need it's own Campus Pastor? What about the “main campus?
Yes. An increasing number of churches have a campus pastor at the original campus as well … especially when they move beyond three campuses. You should also engage in the online community for campus pastors.
Who was a campus pastor for a few years, and later transitioned out to plant his own church?
Rick Pughe was at First Baptist Church – Windermere when it was multisite (now gone back to individual churches). He is now Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church – Eustis, FL. Eric Jaffe was at Celebration Church Jacksonville FL and is now the Senior Pastor at Journey Church, Orange Park FL . Troy McMahon was at Community Christian Church and planted Restore Community Church, Kansas MO.
