Conversations: David Ashcraft on Mustering the Mastery of Multisites

September 11, 2014

We are excited to continue a new Leadership Network blog series called Conversations on Church Innovations.” These video and audio posts feature candid conversations with innovative church leaders from across the country talking about the areas of ministry they are passionate about.

David AshcraftDavid Ashcraft – LCBC Church Senior PastorDavid began serving as pastor of LCBC Church (Lives Changed By Christ) in Manheim, Pennsylvania, in February 1991. Over the past 23 years LCBC has grown from a weekly attendance of 150 people and a staff of one to a weekly attendance of nearly 15,000 people and a staff of over 160. As LCBC continues to grow, David reminds the church of its goal – seeing Lives Changed By Christ. That responsibility grows as the church grows and includes reaching beyond the campus walls into Central Pennsylvania and by working to transform one community on each continent of the world. Because of its work around the world, in 2008 David and LCBC received “The Courageous Leadership” award from the Willow Creek Association and World Vision.

Leadership Network Director Greg Ligon had the opportunity to talk with David Ashcraft about the road of experience that LCBC has gained by simply choosing years ago to stop waiting for “perfection” and to get in motion the plans God laid on his heart to take a multisite approach.  The stories on how to keep things ‘tightened up’ from the beginning so you don’t have to fight the battle to tightening up later are invaluable. Enjoy this Conversation!
