Dave Travis

Dave is the former CEO of Leadership Network and has a rich background of ministry experience, which includes more than 30 years of successfully helping churches and church leadership.

As a consultant to megachurches across the country, Dave works with boards to improve their performance. He is the author of three books including What’s Next: A Look Over the Next Hill for Innovative Churches and Their Leaders.

Dan Busby is the CEO of ECFA, an organization that accredits Christ-centered ministries in the areas of governance, financial management, and stewardship/fundraising.

Dan has over 40 years of experience serving the church and nonprofit community and frequently speaks nationally on related issues. He is a prolific writer and his most recent book is Lessons From the Church Boardroom, co-authored with John Pearson.

Building Better Boards is a 1-day Leadership Network experience on governance designed to help church pastors, board leaders, and board members develop better systems for leading and guiding the church at a board level.

The workshop is designed to help you evaluate, equip, and effectively lead in the future by making adjustments to your current board direction and arrangements so that your church will be prepared for the years ahead. The event’s aim is to equip you with tools to evaluate, address, and help you move your church to greater effectiveness by making improvements in your board.

This experience is designed for teams of senior pastors, board leaders, and board members. Key staff who report directly to the board will also benefit from the program.

By attending the event as a team, participants will be able to collaboratively strategize a plan to strengthen their respective church boards.

Your church will be best served by having at least three people attend the event in order to take full advantage of the tools and training.

You can join the event by paying either $299 or $499 for a team of three members. The $499 option includes an exclusive 1-hour consultation with Dave Travis after the event.

If you’d like to bring more people with you to the event, you can do so by paying $49 per additional person.

Both prices ($299 and $499) include materials and a healthy lunch at the event.
