Justice Ministry InnovationLab Now Forming
Ministries of mercy deal with the symptoms of people’s brokenness. Ministries of justice traffic in the systems that create those symptoms. Mercy is rescuing people from the river. Justice walks up stream to discover who is pushing them into the water. Most churches do a pretty decent job of helping people “walk humbly with their God” and “love mercy”—two-thirds of Micah 6:8. But precious few churches venture into areas of “doing justice” yet the church has been at her historic best when she begins to do justice. In this InnovationLab we will explore the big issues facing the world today and what your church can do to engage some of the big systemic problems facing your neighborhood or world today.
InnovationLab
Never before has the church had the opportunity to step up and make a huge relational difference in the church and community. As Isaiah 58, Isaiah 61 and other justice-laden passages come more and more to the forefront of missional conversations, people are asking, “What’s the church doing about this?” The Justice InnovationLab is an innovative and iterative process designed to help groups of up to six churches launch or greatly accelerate their Justice Ministry. We meet twice in Dallas with a 4-hour online meeting in between.
Learning from Experience
Group members are connected with other innovative churches in order to develop strong peer-to-peer relationships that will allow leaders to share ideas, methodologies, and solutions. Additionally we will tap into the foremost church-based thought-leaders and practitioners from around the country so you can learn from the best.
