Large Church Hispanic Pastors Forum

A Leadership Network One-Day Experience

If you are a Hispanic/Latino senior pastor leading a church of 1,000 or more in attendance, and you minister to a predominantly English-speaking congregation, you are warmly invited to a day of networking and sharing experiences with peers.

God is raising a new generation of Hispanic/Latino pastors, many younger, and many exploring new ways of reaching the next generation for Christ. If you’d like to be part of that conversation, please let us know that you would be interested in this Leadership Network sponsored roundtable experience.

Leadership Network will co-host this exciting event in on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 in Chicago at New Life Covenant Church, where Pastor Wilfredo “Pastor Choco” de Jesus will be our host location. This national event will be a unique gathering designed specifically to be a fast paced one-day experience of Leadership Network’s “Peer Protocol Process” that includes:

  • Sharing “best practice ideas” with other pacesetting leaders from similar size churches
  • Addressing some of the challenges and opportunities facing growing congregations like yours
  • Exploring creative ways to discover the “What’s Next” for your church
  • Going home with a great idea or two, and having made some new friends

Several participants are already on board – our host pastor Wilfredo “Choco” de Jesus, who pastors the largest-attendance church in the entire Assembly of God, will walk us through their model of outreach and disciplemaking, their Chicago Dream Center and some of their most effective ministries for reaching second and third generation Latinos and Hispanics. Others will do likewise, such as Sergio de la Mora of Cornerstone Church in San Diego and Jaime Loya of Valley International Christian Church in San Benito, Texas. Leaders of large, growing churches from New York to Florida to Los Angeles will be there, and we’d love you to join us as well.

The discussion agenda, crafted in a unique approach by the participants themselves, will cover the felt needs of large-church senior pastors such as how to develop a new generation of leaders, how to build a stronger staff team, how to deal with the tough financial realities of a large, growing church.
