Today’s leaders of rapidly growing churches face a number of challenges unique to their experience of explosive Kingdom growth:
- Lack of space and outdated facilities
- Organizational and structural inadequacies
- Funding issues
- Staffing and volunteer deployment
- Leadership development
- Pastor isolation and burnout
The Rapid Growth Leadership Community helps churches facing these issues to set bold goals for future growth and assist them in developing solutions for the inherent challenges and opportunities that come with rapid growth. Group members are connected with other innovative churches in order to develop strong peer-to-peer relationships that will allow leaders to share ideas, methodologies, and solutions.
Senior Pastors Jerome Wade of Destiny Center in Rio Ranch, NM, Michael Fletcher of Manna Church in Fayetteville, NC, Matt Williams of Grace Church in Greenville, SC and Shawn Johnson of Red Rocks church in Golden, CO talk about their experiences in the Rapid Growth Churches Leadership Community, group three.
Learning from Experience
Through past Rapid Growth Leadership Communities, participating teams were given the opportunity to share their experiences of navigating the challenges of accelerated growth, aiming to capture effective practices through their stories and examples.
A common theme among churches that have participated in the Rapid Growth Leadership Communities was the importance of being part of a community of peers and/or finding mentors to help them to navigate through organizational changes and other church challenges.
