What I find refreshing is the role of leadership in these large churches. They are not managed. Deming, Drucker, Senge, and other leadership advocates are doing what Mary Parker Follett tried to present as a one of the first graduates of Radcliffe College as an essential role for leaders. Conflict only causes more trouble. Compromise is not a long term solution. Instead it is vital for people to understand their values and to integrate them into what is done together. Essentially this is what these successful churches have accomplished. They, like Deming, Drucker, Senge and the others are bringing their faith into the workplace and are successful. Thank you for sharing such a good article.

The article states
“Worship options extend beyond Sunday morning”. um, not really based on the figures the report gives.

“While virtually all have multiple Sunday morning services, 48% have one or more Saturday night services, and 41% have one or more Sunday night services”.

48% means the other 52% (more then half) don’t have Saturday night services. Also, 41% having a Sunday night means that almost 60% don’t have a Sunday night service at all.

This shows that most (more then half) churches do not extend their worship service past Sunday morning.

This is either bad statistical analysis or a desire to shape the outcome of the report.

Only 13% spent on missions - sad.
