This Year The NINES Is Too Hot to Handle
Published on 10/9/2012

Pastors and ministry leaders are called to navigate through some very difficult waters at times. In fact, ministry is many times messy. As you lead your church to effectively minister in today’s culture, there are bound to be roadblocks. This year, Leadership Network is addressing the church’s "hot button" issues during the 2012 edition of The NINES online conference.
Every day, church leaders across the world deal with these same hot button topics. They are common to nearly every church and every leader, yet many of these subjects are difficult for pastors and leaders to discuss with others.
How do you deal with an elder board that is out of control? Or a staff member that needs to be fired? How do you lead your church when there’s no money in the bank, or respond to a very public scandal involving your church? How will your church minister and relate with homosexuals in your community? Those are just a few of the difficult issues that will be tackled during this year’s NINES.
This year’s main topics include:
- Elder Boards from Hell
- Your Church’s Response to Homosexuality
- How to Deal with a Rogue Staff Member
- Dealing with Financial Hard Times in Your Church
- Responding to Your PR Nightmare
- Succession Planning: Knowing When It’s Time to Go
- How to Lead Your Church Through Tragedy
- Social Justice vs. Gospel Proclamation
- When Jesus Steps on the Gas (Dealing with Rapid Growth Issues)
- How to Gracefully Kill a Church Program
This year’s NINES will be held over two days: Thursday and Friday, October 25 and 26th. Over one hundred great communicators will each get five minutes to deal with these topics in a concise and productive manner. Speakers at this year's event include Pastor Mark Driscoll from Mars Hill Church in Seattle; Pastor Craig Groeschel from LifeChurch.tv; author and speaker Francis Chan; and Pastor Rick Warren from Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA.
This year's conference will also feature live segments from Manchester, UK, where Leadership Network is launching new programs to assist churches across Europe with their innovative ministry programs.
Registration is now available by visiting www.thenines.tv. There is no cost to register. Since the event is totally online, a computer, tablet, or smart phone is all that is needed to attend this event. A complete list of speakers and topics can be seen at www.thenines.tv.
