Multisite
Europe Home | Leadership Communities: Multisite - Rapid Growth - ECPN | Participation | Research
For churches operating across multiple locations: one church in many places. The objective for this community will be to explore how existing churches can plant new congregations without having to reproduce the infrastructure and governance mechanisms.
Why take part in a Leadership Community?
Case Study
Through the ECPN Leadership Community, participating teams were given the opportunity to share their experience of church planting, aiming to highlight effective practice through their stories and examples.
The European Snapshots: Models of Multi-Site Church in Europe concept paper from 2010 focusses on the multi-site model:
While some people have questioned whether the multi-site model works in the more post-Christendom context of Europe, there are European churches that organise themselves as multi-site churches. This paper offers a snapshot of three Western European churches that have “gone multi-site”, and looks at aspects of the multi-site rationale and practice in these churches: the logic behind going multi-site, the life of the church and their leadership development.
ECPN teams featured in this paper include:
• AAVM in Arhus, Denmark; senior leader Keld Dahlmann
• HTB, London, UK; executive pastor Miles Toulmin
• ICF, Zurich, Switzerland; senior leader ND Strupler
