Conversations: Nate Merrill on Building Bridges Through Technology
We are excited to continue a new Leadership Network blog series called “Conversations on Church Innovations.” These video and audio posts feature candid conversations with innovative church leaders from across the country talking about the areas of ministry they are passionate about.
Nate Merrill is the Internet Campus Pastor at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall, TX. He has a passion for leveraging technology for the sake of reaching people for Christ and a passion for grilling/smoking meat whenever the weather allows! Nate and C.J. have three children – Hannah, Malachi & Elijah. Nate isn’t as much about the technology as much as he is about teaching others about the local church no matter where they live.
Leadership Network Director Tim Nations had the opportunity to talk with Nate Merrill about how to make the big wide world of technology not so big that you lose the feeling of the local church with those who join in virtually. It’s not about the numbers in your metrics, it’s about using latest innovation to make the on-boarding process from the internet campus to the physical campus as engaging and relational as possible. Enjoy this Conversation!
