Leadership Network recently polled Advance readers on their reading habits, including what kind(s) of digital readers they prefer. Not surprisingly, 42% own an iPhone or other smart phone with reading capabilities. The Kindle was the most popular digital reader, with the iPad coming in second.
A good chunk of respondents (13%) are planning to purchase a digital reading device within the next 6-12 months. I wonder if the recent announcements of new reading platforms will influence their decisions?

I love the ability to search my entire library on the Kindle to find a quote

I really don’t ind the reading application on the ipad….but I don’t think consumers who purchase a reading-specific product like Kindle are the same….for ipad users, the reading app is an added convenience to a multitude of other reasons why they made that particular purchase.
After CES 2011, undoubtedly the popularity and usage of tablet computers and eBooks, whatever the genre will be called, is going to keep growing. We live in exciting times! I am holding out for the next version of iPad, even though some other brands look enticing. Apple still has the wow factor nevertheless.
awesome, i was just starting to research this. i’ve already got an iphone and am hooked on the ios world… but the lightness and readability of the kindle is quite appealing… other than it being one more device to lug around.
I love my kindle! It’s so easy to use!
There’s no contest! Kindle IS the best!
